Due to the lack of not so many police officers, the traffic problems across the country is getting worse and officers are unable to perform duties effectively. Traffic rule violators usually get away upon breaking the law or at times even worse. The culture of paying a bribe to avoid fines and standing in long queues makes thing discouraging for law abiding citizens.
With the introduction of digital Challan system, the safe city project has already earned great fame and it turned out to be very effective. This also promotes digital inclusion in the country.
This online system of producing Challan has already been successfully executed in Lahore by Government and now it is coming to Islamabad as well.
From next week onwards Islamabad registered vehicles will be issued e-Challan as per media reports.
Integrated e-Challan system of Punjab safe cities authority will be followed to issue online Challan tickets to violators.
E-Challan will not only help in increased revenue collection but also violations will be reduced to a greater extent.
