NextEV is the Chinese automaker that has given the world’s fastest electric car namely Nio today in London. Thus, the world’s fastest electric car will surely bring lots of joy to owners through its superior performance.
The NIO EP9 is the world’s fastest electric car and has a formula E team too. It achieved a new lap record at the Nurburgring Nordschliefe racetrack in Germany. The track Green Hill is used to test supercars and the EP9 lapped 20.8 km in just 7 minutes and 5.12 seconds. The previous record for the world’s fastest electric car was at 7 minutes and 22 seconds. Another lap record of 1 minute and 52.78 seconds was also made at the Circuit Paul Richard Track in France. The previous record here was 2 minutes and 40 seconds.
The speed is all due to the 4 high tech inboard motors and 4 separate gearboxes. An EP9 10mW power is given which is equivalent to 1360 hp. The EP9 can go from 0 to 200 kmph in just 7.1 seconds and also has a top 313 km speed. It also features and interchangeable battery system while it will charge in 45 minutes only. The car also has a 472 km range for the same.
According to William Li, the EP9 is the best super-class vehicle possible in electric cars ever. He is the founder and chairman at NextEV and believes that electric cars’ ownership will become increased only when the experience will be more than imagined. This, he says, will help to have a better choice for tomorrow.
