An increase in prices of all car models has been announced by the Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) by Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 or a 3% increase from 1st August 2016 while a reason for the increase has yet not been told.
The new Mehran VXR petrol and VXR CNG will now be sold at Rs 703,000 and Rs 773,000 respectively whil the Suzuki Ravi and Cultus CNG shall be sold at Rs 667,000 and 1.19 million besides Swift AT and Wagon R VXL at Rs 1.463 million and Rs 1.049 million respectively.
This is the first PSMC sweeping price increase by the company for the year 2016 according to Hamza Raza of Top Line Securities as the Suzuki WagonR had already increased earlier this year by 2% while the All Pakistan Motor Dealers Association (APMDA) Chairman, H.M Shehzad says that this is a clear violation of the new auto policy as the prices are to be maintained according to that.
