Hrithik Roshan is back towards successful project as the ‘Mohenjo Daro’ team is in an unbeatable happy space as even before the film has hit the screens, it has gathered Rs 60 crores through satellite, music and different rights.
The 42-year-old actor is happy how the economics are shaping up for Mohenjo Daro.”I am glad that the film has been able to recover a large chunk of its investment and now through theatrical revenues, we need to recover a relatively manageable sum,” said Hrithik Roshan to an Indian media.
Ashutosh Gowariker-coordinated film has raked in Rs 45 crore from offering its satellite rights. Alternate Rs 15 crore has been originated from the offer of music rights. A.R Rahman has created the music for the film.
The total cost of the film, including publicity and advertising is Rs 115 crores and the makers have already made Rs 45 crores from selling of satellite rights and the remaining Rs 15 crores through music and other rights.
Mohenjo Daro stars Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde in lead roles. The film will have a clash with another much-awaited movie of the year, Rustom. Many Bollywood stars including Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Sonakshi Sinha and Karan Johar have been promoting Akshay Kumar’s ‘Rustom’.
