About $45 million have been raised by the Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio at the St. Tropez, southern France star fundraiser so that environmental support can be extended forward to have research for climate change. The fundraiser also had other stars like Naomi Campbell, Bradley Cooper, Edward Norton, Chris Rock, Mariah Carey, Bono, Tobey Maguire and Jonah Hill.

Leonardo had auctioned his Rolex, his diamond cufflinks worn at the last Academy Awards and his seven-night stay at his property in Palm Springs while the guests could bid for them for a whole week in a private game of Texas Hold’Em with Norton and Hill, on the sets of Film Maker Martin Scorsese, an evening with Carey, a Harley Davidson motorcycle, the Terminator Genisys skull from Arnold Schwarzenegger and lunch with Margot Robbie.

Besides, Leonardo’s foundation dedicated to environmental efforts, recent Nice attack survivors and victims’ shall also be receiving this amount while in the earlier part of the same year, the 41-year-old had also appreciated how Pope Francis had helped climate change through his efforts. Hence when it comes to the environment, there is lots and lots of praise here for him as well.

He also added that the fact that humans have been causing environmental changes has been well acknowledged now and that a spiritual leader has come up to the movement, it was a truly honorable moment for him to meet the noble presence.
