300 Cuts in Padmavat

Padmavat is again a heated subject of discourse and this time censor board of India, Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has announced that there was no such requirement for 300 Cuts in Padmavat. It is just a baseless rumor spurred by unknown characters.
It was also clarified by the CBFC, that we just recommended five changes that were pertaining to title and disclaimer and they were timely executed by filmmakers. Also, the film has been issued by U/A certificate. CBFC also requested the masses to abstain from spreading such news. The process required to be carried out by censor board is complete and finalized.
It was mentioned, that to ensure the specific industry standards and regulations are met with certain societal norms, CBFC, the appointed director was also part of film editing.

It was earlier instructed to director of this movie, Sanjay Leela Bhansali that references pertaining to Mewar, Delhi and Chittorgarh should be omitted and this news is circulated as if required, to make 300 Cuts in Padmavat, which is ridiculous.
The Padmavat movie has provoked strong public outrage in certain regions like Rajasthan, as they consider a movie is based on wrong historical facts. Although, CBFC has seen the whole movie and thereby, has issued U/A certification which otherwise was not possible. The movie was earlier named ‘Padmavati’ and was supposed to be released on 1st December 2017.
Now the movie is scheduled to be released on 25 January and will be starring, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.
