After two years, since Pakistan had its first international boxing, Amir Khan has announced that he will introduce team-based boxing league in the country.
To derive the next generations of boxers, Amir Khan said in his video that he will bring Super Boxing league In Pakistan this year.
Telling about the event he mentioned that, it will be a month-long tournament and it will be really amazing to watch talent of Pakistan. He said I believe we have huge talent but it has never been pointed out, but hopefully, 2018 will be a big year for Pakistani boxing.
Khan said boxing league will be somewhat similar to Pakistan Super League (annual cricket tournament that is very famous in Pakistan. just recently Khan has knocked out Canadian Phil Lo Greco in the opening round of their match last month.
Khan revealed that he has named teams as, Islamabad Kings, Lahore Giants, Karachi Devils, Faisalabad Falcons, Multan Thunders, Peshawar Warriors and Quetta stars.
Each team will have six fighters, five males, and one female. This league is already operational in India and had opened last year.
