    The revenant continued to be at the top for making as many awards at the Britain’s Bafta film awards.

    The Mexican director, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu also got the best director while Leonard DeCaprio got the best actor besides having the best film award.

    According to his speech, none of this had been expected of the film hence it was a truly surprised matter of honor. He dedicated his award to her mother wishing her birthday and sharing how she grew him with constant support driving him miles to a school for better life during childhood.

    The same three awards at three awards at Golden Globes last month and now this, the film is near expected to make laurels at the Oscars this 28th February in Los Angelos.

    At the baftas revenant won over Tom McCarthy’s drama ‘Spotlight’, Todd Haynes romance ‘Carol’, Adam McKay’s caper ‘The Big Short’ and Steven Spielberg’s thriller ‘Bridge of Spies’.

    However, in total the film scooped up five awards which included best cinematography and best sound as well.

    Closely followed with four awards was George Miller’s film Mad Max: Fury Road while Brie Larson won best actress for her role in the film “Room’.

    The supporting actress award was scooped up by Kate Winslet for the film ‘Steve Jobs’ where she dedicated her award to all those women who doubt themselves.

    The film ‘Brooklyn’ won outstanding British film whereas Mark Rylance won the best supporting actor for ‘Bridge of Spies’.

    It was also Italy’s legendary composer Ennio Morricone who won the original music award at the baftas for ‘The Hateful Eight’ which was his six bafta in the category.

    The documentary category was won by ‘Amy’ which won for its in depth portrayal of Amy Winehouse’s struggles before fame.

    Also, not to forget that the animated film category award went to ‘Inside Out’ while special visual effects award was won over by ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’.
