First Airbus A380 to Land at New Islamabad Airport on 8th July

    Airbus A380, the largest passenger plane of the world will land on Islamabad International Airport i.e. newly constructed on 8th of July. This event of biggest airplane landing will be the latest development in the aviation history of Pakistan.

    The first flight will carry 650 passengers and will arrive from Dubai, the Civil Aviation Authority has granted permission for landing in Pakistan and will land at 12.30 am.

    With the total length of 240 feet and 577 tons of weight, the plane has the wingspan of 260 feet. From the ground, this huge double-decker plane is 80-foot high and with four turbo engines, it can attain the speed of 945 kilometers per hour.

    The Singapore Airline flew the first plane of this kind for commercial flights in 2007, while the test flight was conducted in 2005. But with advance airports and huge numbers of passengers traveling, almost all the big airlines have this plane in their fleet. These airlines include Lufthansa, Qantas, Emirates, Korea Air, Malaysia Airlines, British Airways, Asiana Airlines, Qatar Airways and Etihad Airways.

    The A380 has the passenger accommodation capacity of 868 and has the capability to carry 323,545 liters of fuels which is equal to 85471 gallons.
