Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi earned the title of first PM to board submarine in Pakistan. Quite an adventures premier, from flying a military helicopter to a voyage on submarine, make him quite distinct among the previous counterparts. He was in Karachi when Pakistan navy, decorated his bucket of achievements with another Dolphin badge. He is also, the only PM to have accomplished this feat. He was accompanied by Naval Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi during his first voyage of this kind.
Pakistan navy at this moment also demonstrated different exercises at sea. The presentation was given on the achievements of Pakistan navy and the role of submarine force in the wars of 1965 and 1971.
PM also underwent various diving and surfacing drills earning him dolphin badge of Pakistan navy. He was also very much satisfied with the capability and activeness of naval force. And was of the view that, with such determination, enthusiasm and unconditional willingness to protect our waters from alien elements, our navy is playing a major role defying all odds. Everyone has eyes on Gwadar and CPEC and we are aware of the awe and envy it has bought to many but with zeal and zest our marine force is protecting the interests of this nation with utmost priority.
He met the naval staff and all the men and acknowledged their efforts. The movement of men from one ship to another and similarly the material, rocket fire by ship and aircraft, demolition of targets were the operations carried out by navy and witnessed by prime minister.
Fly past was organized for the premier and also, skim past by ships with chants of heartwarming national slogans. He was also briefed about the development projects executed by Pakistan navy to empower education and health sector in Baluchistan, PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi praised this effort and considered it very vital in alleviation of various social and economical crisis.
