The Auto Policy for the country might have often been late but it finally opened the space for the new investors to have opportunities in the Pakistani market as European manufacturers continue to show their immense interest in the country’s market.
The German maker, Audi is quite eager to enter the Pakistani Auto Industry gearing up to give extreme competition to the industry as well as consumers simultaneously.
Audi Ag and Sindh Board of Investment in Ingolstadht signed an MoU so that Audi can study over the possibility of auto manufacturing in the country.
The federal trade policies, legal logistics as well as other economic factors shall be studied to look for the establishment of a plant in Sindh through its authorized general importer namely, Premier Systems.
Ms Naheed Memon, Sindh Board of Investment and Mr Martin Birkner from Audi AG signed the MoU while Mr Rainer Schmiedchen and Mr. Arshad Rana from Consul General of Germany in Karachi and Premeir System’s executive witnessed it respectively.
With the advent of a brand like Audi, the Japanese highlighted Pakistani Auto industry is soon to receive a shift to keep local manufacturers glued to their purpose. However, it is expected that this will raise the excellence bar above than before as prices will come down too!
