According to the Dewan Farooque Motors Limited (DFML) company announcement on Monday, it is about to start the assembly of its vehicles by the end of October as it has also entered into a toll manufacturing agreement with the Daehan-Dewan Motor Company Private Limited that is a joint venture between Dewan yousuf Companies and the Laos and South Korea based Kolao Group.
This was also confirmed by a company notice sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) while it also added that it as going to install figs and fixtures for the same and is in process for manufacturing under the toll agreements too. It has also sent an application to the Board of Investment and Engineering Development Board for the vehicle production resumption in the country.
Therefore, this resumption shall see the re-launch of Shehzore 1-ton single rear-wheel truck and the Hyundai Powertrain that shall also be followed by the Shehzore 1-ton dual rear-wheel truck by October end as well. After these, the 1.5-ton Shehzore tuck and 1600 engine capacity sports utility vehicle (SUV) shall also be introduced with the collaboration of Ssangyong China by the next year.
Moreover, the next three years are also planned by the DFML to come up with passenger cars, light commercial vehicle and SUVs in collaboration with Kia Motors, Korea as well.
