Hyundai-Nishat new cars may hit the market soon. Pakistan automobile sector is getting more competitive. It is good news for the sector.
The upcoming teaser was uploaded on the Hyundai-Nishat website. However, nothing is confirmed about Hyundai-Nishat new cars venture as nothing has been said in official statements by both parties.
The cars shown in teaser were Tucson, Creta, Elantra, and Verna.
The Nishat group is one of the major corporations in Pakistan. It has been making plans to get entry in the market since 2012. It has been informed that Hyundai communicated with Nishat group to make plans on initiated a joint venture.
The plan of the joint venture is to start making Hybrid cars in Pakistan. These new cars will be assembled and launched in Pakistan by Nishat group and these cars will be more fuel efficient.
Currently, the Hybrid cars in Pakistan are imported from Japan and are reconditioned. If the Hyundai-Nishat plan becomes operational, it will be Pakistan’s first locally made Hybrid cars.
The two SUVs shown may give hard competition to the present line of SUVs from Toyota, Honda and Suzuki.
However, the sedan market of Pakistan may be harder to break in as Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic models are well established already.
Furthermore, prices of the upcoming cars may play an integral role in determining the fate of Hyundai-Nishat new cars joint venture.
