The new models of Honda Atlas are surely going to be in market soon. Atlas Honda Limited has plans to expand its product portfolio through $150 million investment through its five-year plans.

Presently there are six locally manufacturing two wheeling products. This includes the 125cc category and two imported motorcycles category. However, they are planning more models with increased engine capacity too. The 1st phase has already been completed at the Sheikhupura plant. For the new models of Honda Atlas, capacity is increased from 750,000 to 1.2 million each year. This is because there is an average demand boosted through 30% since the last couple of years.

The history

The first Atlas Honda bike made it in 1964 from the Karachi plant. They sold 190,424 units in 2003-04. Sales were managed for 440,054 units during 2009 and 2010. The company is a joint venture between the Atlas Group and the Honda Motor Company Limited in Japan. Today, there are a total of 142 vendors locally that make up 94% sales for the CD-70 model. They also make up 90% for the 125cc category.

The demand each year is 1.7 million units and is rising continuously as well. In March 2016, a 20% increase was seen with Rs 55 billion sales. The profit was Rs 3 million which reflected 28% overall growth in comparison too.
