For the assembly of light commercial vehicles and vans, Regal Automobile industries Limited has set up a production plant in Lahore. Being the third largest manufacturer of bikes in Pakistan, it has invested Rs.10 billion for expansion of its plant for vehicles. it starts its operations soon.
Chairman Regal Automobiles Industries, Soahil Usman has already acquired the legal rights to assemble vehicles and new products will be launched soon in the market.
Prince C37 will be assembled along with other cars and this falls in the domain of operational agreement named as ‘Prince’.
Eleven seaters multi-purpose vehicle Prince C37 is already being assembled in the new plant. To serve the high-end market, K07 will be launched i.e. luxury six-seater van and also K01 pickup truck is also to be launched for the commercial sector.
The engines of all the vehicles will meet environmentally friendly standards and will be Euro-compliant, after sales services will also be provided to the customers, according to the company.
In the initial phase, 5000 units will be assembled and if the increase in demand was foreseen it has the capacity to increase the production to 10000 units on double shift basis.
CKD kits are already being imported from China and will be utilized to assemble initial units.
