Qarz e hasna to hamdard university

An MoU has been signed between both the Ihsan Trust as well as the Meezan Bank in order to provide qarz e hasna or an interest free loan on merit basis to students of the Hamdard University.

This loan has been facilitated in order to meet the capacity and needs of those students who have been admitted into the university on merit but require the loan to cover their tution fee. This will enable the students to continue with their studies regularly as the financial help shall greatly benefit them.

The VC of Hamdard University, Dr Hk Abdul Hannan had been present when the university’s Registrar Syed Nasir Ali Mirza signed the MoU with Ihsan Trust of Meezan Bank’s President and CSR for special projects product development & Shariah Compliance (PDSC).

Besides this the university also has been providing its own scholarships to as many as Rs 60 million for promising and hardworking students last year.

In addition to this, the Meezan bank of Ihsan Trust’s VP and the university’s Registrar also signed an MoU to provide interest free loan to students who are really needy but very bright at minds. Personalities like Prof Dr Hakim Abdul Hannan (VC), Nazir Ahmed Sheikh (Controller of Examinations), Saad Bin Hilal (Deputy Director Finance) were also present at the occasion.
