The list for influential Muslims of the world was just published recently. The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif as well as Abida Parveen are the top 3 featured on this list for the year 2017 by the Royal Islamic Strategies Studies Centre.

It includes Muslims all over the world recognized for their work. Late Abdul Sattar Edhi’s name has also appeared in the influential Muslims of the world list as he is given due credit for all his deeds under the obituaries category while his wife Bilquis Edhi has also been featured for her charity.

Others who made it to the influential Muslims of the world list

The influential Muslims of the world list, contains 30 Muslims who are from Pakistan. They include Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chief, Imran Khan, human rights activist, as well as lawyer, Asma Jahangir. The Nobel Peace Prize Winner and child activist, Malala Yousufzai has also made it to the list. When it comes to scholars Jamiat Ulema Islam- Fazl (JUI-F) Chief, Maulana Falzur Rehman and Maulana Tariq Jameel are included.

On the other hand, Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan and His Royal Highness Shah Karim Al Hussayni, The Agha Khan were also there besides Amir of Tablighi Jamaat Pakistan Hajji Mohammed Abdul Wahhab and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Later it came to finalize 450 names for their contributions in 13 categories. These include philanthropy, politics, science and technology, administration of religious affairs and arts and culture.
