Bollywood Actor Salman Khan Sentenced to Five Year Jail

Accused in blackbuck poaching case of 1998, the court of Jodhpur on Thursday has given its verdict. Bollywood star Salman Khan,  Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu, and Neelam are among the accused.

According to the court’s verdict, Salman Khan has been sentenced to five years jail and Indian Rs. 10000 fine. Saif Ali Khan, Sonali, Tabu, and Neelum have been all cleared of charges under section 9/51 of Indian Wildlife Act.

Salman will spend his night in Jodhpur central jail and other day hearing of bail will be held.

The case was in progress since last 19 years and a final verdict has been reserved on 28 March.

Salman is accused of poaching blackbucks in Kankani near Jodhpur village in 1998 during the shoot of Hum Sath Sath Hain movie. Two black bucks were killed; their hunting is prohibited under wildlife protection act.

Salman Khan is currently shooting for Race 3 and it has been learned that he also misbehaved with Tabu when she was coming out of the airport in Jodhpur.
