Salman Khans Tubelight release in Pakistan did not happen on Eid, although the movie did worldwide.
The Indian film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted that #Tubelight did not release in Pakistan and also not in China.
Salman Khan Films COO Amar Butala said that Pakistan had limitations on how many films they will release on Eid. So, they were hopeful, the censor process was still on and they will know soon enough, according to Indian media reported.
Few Indian media reports also suggested that no distributor from Pakistan was ready to release the film in the country because of the depiction of 1962 Sino-Indian War and Pakistan’s regional alignment with China.
Pakistani cinemas have supported national cinema by releasing three big budget Pakistani movies (Yalghar, Shor Sharaba and Mehrunisa V Lub U) on this Eid.
